Background and Purpose
The Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council is the forum established through an inter-local agreement among its current members - Kitsap County, City of Bainbridge Island, City of Port Orchard, City of Poulsbo, CIty of Bremerton, Suquamish Tribe, Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, Port of Bremerton, Port of Kingston, Naval Base Kitsap, and Kitsap Transit.
The Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council serves four purposes:
KRCC is responsible for the distribution of federal transportation funding (via the Puget Sound Regional Council).
KRCC coordinates the review and monitoring of the Kitsap Countywide Planning Policies and the related Population Forecasting and Distribution, required by the State of Washington Growth Management Act.
KRCC coordinates a regional legislative agenda.
KRCC is the vehicle for other multi-jurisdictional collaborative projects identified in its annual Work Program.
The 2025 elected officers are:
